WHAT’S BETTER? “Don’t cry” or a warm hug?

“Don’t cry”, “You have no reason to fear” and similar sentences sometimes appear spontaneously in conversations we have with children but also with each other. Although we know they can be hurtful and repulsive instead of helping, alternatives are often difficult to come up with. Through this table, we practice different communication, one that fosters connectivity and security.
