Center for Child and Youth Protection of Zagreb was represented by mag. psych. Dominik Šmida.
Dr.sc. Astrid Podsiadlowski from the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights visited Child and Youth Protection Center of Zagreb on 11th of December 2018, where she was thoroughly familiarized with Center’s operations by the director of the Center prof.dr.sc. Gordana Buljan Flander, deputy diretor prim. Domagoj Štimac and Mia Roje, mag.psych. Dr.sc. Astrid Podsiadlowski encouraged us and commended our interdisciplinary work as well as our intersectoral cooperation as the basis of our work, as it is the kind of practice systematically promoted by the European Union as the best standard.
We are particularly pleased to have our co-operation with the FRA (Fundamental Rights Agency) further strengthened; according to dr. sc. Podsiadlowski, by translating the Checklist for evaluation of justice system adapting to children in practice, we have initiated the translation and standardization for many other European countries.
