Director of the Swedish Government organisation Swedish Media Council, Ewa Thorslun and Croatian professionals, including Tea Brezinšćak, psychologist of the Child and Youth Protection Centre exchanged their knowledge and experience about the safety of children on the Internet.
On the occasion of the today’s International Day of Children’s rights and the World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse (November 19th) and also European Day of Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (November 18) we have decided to sensitize the public and experts. It’s so important to raise awareness of sexual violence against children and promote the protection of their rights.
The European Day helps maintain the momentum and attention on the need to continue protecting children from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.
The Council of Europe published an article about protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse on its website and can be viewed at the following link: https://www.coe.int/en/web/human-rights-channel/end-online-child-sex-abuse
