” The Association of Psychologists of the County of Požega-Slavonia in cooperation with the Diocesan Center “Pro vita et familia” was yesterday in the Hall of St. Theresa of Avila starting at 6 pm, organized a lecture and book promotion, edited and authored by Prof. Gordana Buljan Flander, PhD.
The author first gave a lecture on “Divorce – manipulation of children and the system: Do we recognize emotional abuse?” and then followed the promotion of the book “Science and Art of Upbringing – A Practical Handbook on Contemporary Upbringing for Parents and Educators”.
The author noted that there are more and more families going through highly conflicted divorces.
Buljan Flander emphasized that children read non-verbal messages from parents and it is not necessary to verbally tell or not tell the child what the parent feels, the child will only understand through the facial expression and behavior of the parent. She explained that 93% of non-verbal communication is in communication, while only 7% is verbal.
