We invite all interested experts to attend an expert lecture on “Forensic Interview with Child Victims of Crimes” which will be held by the Director of the Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center, Prof. Gordana Buljan Flander, PhD, Clinical Psychologist – Psychotherapist on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm in the hall of the our Center.

This lecture is held as part of the professional development of the staff of the Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center that we have once a month, but this time we decided to open the door to other experts, given the importance and relevance of the topic and the interest of experts.

The aim of the lecture is to present the basic competencies required for conducting forensic interviews with child victims of crime, as well as the course and specifics of interviewing children and young people.

Scientific research confirms that adequate forensic interviewing reduces the risk of children being retraumatized, increases the likelihood of obtaining accurate information during testimony, and ultimately shortens the length of court proceedings.

The meeting will be reported and graded by the relevant chambers. Applications for participation should be received by e-mail: mia.roje@poliklinika-djeca.hr by Thursday, March 5 at 10 am.
