The Child and Youth Protection Centre of Zagreb has systematically been devoted to developing digital literacy and to protecting children in the online world. On the occasion of the Safer Internet Day we united with children and youth once again, in order to learn from each other. Around 30 children aged 12 to 18, included in the day hospital program, participated in these workshops which were run by Domagoj Štimac, MD, psychiatrist and chief physician, and Ella Selak Bagarić, psychologist.
Dr. Domagoj Štimac, psychiatrist and deputy director of the Child Protection Centre of Zagreb presented our Centre in Strasbourg at the 21st meeting of the Network of Contact Parliamentarians to stop sexual violence against children, held in the Palais del Europe of the Council of Europe on January 27, 2015, as part of the “One in five” campaign, which promotes protection of children from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.
Dr. Štimac was invited to hold a lecture about treatment of sexually abused children and to present the work of experts from the Center with child victims of sexual abuse. During his stay in Strasbourg dr. Štimac also gave an interview which you can view at this link: http://tv.coe.int/COE/20150127_210_Stinac_Nihal.html
