After successful regional conference in Linköping and previous exchange meetings in Zagreb and Reykjavik, on 13-14 March 2017 professionals from around Europe came to Haarlem where the third Service Exchange Meeting of the PROMISE project was held. The key theme of the meeting was transfer and adaptation of the project model: the next steps, specifically focusing on promoting MD/IA with linking policy and practice – current practices and challenges in implementing child friendly practices within the child protection systems, implementation in different national contexts and MD/IA services becoming active agents for change in Europe.
Meeting of the Council of High School Educators of the Zagreb County was held at the Child and Youth Protection Centre of the City of Zagreb on 8 May 2017. Visiting and establishing further cooperation, educators also attended lectures given by professionals working for the Centre and the Brave Phone.
First Sc.D. Bruna Profaca presented the work of the Centre and our multidisciplinary team. After that she gave a lecture on the theme “Manipulation with Children in Divorce – Risks for Children and Youth”. Anamarija Vuić, the Brave Phone coordinator presented “Help and Support for Children via Help-line – experience of the Brave Phone”. Ivana Ćosić Pregrad, clinical psychologist of the Centre gave a lecture and conducted a workshop “Children and Modern Technologies: Support and Guidance”.
Participants of the Council of high school educators found all themes very useful, especially due to good interconnectedness between theory and practice and examples of actual work with the youth at high schools.
