City Council Health Department of the City of Zagreb is celebrating 2017 World Health Day campaign on depression on 7 April, under the auspices of the World Health Organisation.
This year the recommended theme is “Dealing with depression” (the campaign is conducted under the title: Depression, let’s talk). This celebration will be organised in cooperation with Croatian Public Health Institute and the health institutions of the City of Zagreb dealing with this issue, with the participation of several non-government organisations working in the field of mental health in the community.
The Child and Youth Protection Centre of the City of Zagreb has planned activities with children and youth in its Day Hospital during the period of three days (3 to 7 April) on the theme “Recognising Depression and Providing Support” (the programme is managed by Domagoj Štimac, MD, chief physician, Ella Selak Bagarić, psychologist and Vesna Jurčić, graduate nurse). An exhibition of posters made by children and youth in Day Hospital workshops will also be presented.
