Round table "Psychologists and 21 Century" was held within the framework of the 10th Psychology Week at the Child and Youth Protection Centre of the City of Zagreb, in Zagreb on 21 February 2017. The moderator of the Round table was Sc.D. Bruna Profaca of the Child and Youth Protection Centre of the City of Zagreb. Participants were Sena Puhovski, and Ivana Ćosić Pregrad, psychologists of the Centre, Prof. Sc.D. Gordana Keresteš of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, Branka Starc, psychologist of the Centre for Parenting Support "Let's Grow Together" and Anamarija Vuić, psychologist of the Brave Phone NGO.
On Tuesday, 8th May 2018, an Austrian delegation led by Karoline Edtstadler, State Secretary from the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Austria, visited The Child and Youth Protection Center of Zagreb. The delegation was hosted by the Director of Center, Prof. Gordana Buljan Flander, PhD and Deputy Director of Center, Prim. dr. Domagoj Štimac, who introduced them to the work and achievements of our institution. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the Center as an example of good practice in Europe with an emphasis on the exchange of experiences regarding child protection during court proceedings. They are informed about forensic interviews with children are being conducted in out premises, as well as systematic education, both judicial and others, with regard to the well-being of children and the justice suitable for children.
With Karoline Edtstadler, MSc., State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior, in the delegations were Gernot Maier, MSc. and Martina Berger, BA from the State Secretary’s Office, Dr. Elisabeth Lemmerer, Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Police Attaché of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Austria in the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Andreas Pichler and his assistant, Lujza Zivkovic.
