Conference "The position of victims of trafficking in Serbia in the light of victims' rights to reflection" was held on December 7th 2017 in Belgrade. It was organized by the Center for the Protection of Victims of Trafficking from Belgrade and the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe). Experts from all relevant institutions in the region have been gathered to exchange experiences and good practices. The Child and Youth Protection Centre of Zagreb was represented by director, Prof. Dr. Sc. Gordana Buljan Flander and psychologist Ella Selak Bagaric.
The training of experts on the topic “Manipulation of children during divorce” organized by the Center for Social Welfare Pula on 29 and 30 November, 2017 was led by Prof. Dr. Sc. Gordana Buljan Flander and Mia Roje, MA. The education took place at the House of mentally ill adults Villa Maria and attendees were from Centers of Pula, Pazin, Labin, Rovinj, Poreč and Buje, as also as Pula Police Station.
The aim of education was through contemporary scientific-theoretical knowledge and practical examples to describe high-conflict divorce, manipulation of children during divorce, child alienation and provide guidelines for the recognizing children’s emotional abuse, an adequate responses and work with all involved family members, as well as to emphasize the importance of a multidisciplinary approaches and intersectoral cooperation in this field.
