The City of Zagreb, Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center and a multidisciplinary team of experts have prepared a manual for parents “In your arms – A guide for parents through the adventure of the first three years of a child’s life” on more than 50 pages of professional text the third year of the child’s life. In writing the manual, the inspiration was the strength, courage and love of all the parents we have worked with so far as experts, who have given us their trust, from whom we have learned.
Fourteen young people, aged from 16 to 23 years, from 13 communities and municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, accompanied by four World Vision International staff, visited Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center on Monday, December 16 2019, where they were welcomed by seven members of Center`s Youth Board. They spent the whole day together, sharing shared values and valuable experiences within a relaxed and constructive atmosphere.
Experts of Child and Youth Protection Center of Zagreb submitted their comments on the proposed Ordinance on amendments to the Rules on the procedure and cooperation of a judge, a professional worker of the social welfare center and a police officer for juveniles during the forcible seizure and surrender of a child, who is in the public discussion until 29 May 2018. We believe that proposed draft changes actually represent an additional risk factor for the safety and welfare of children that forementioned Rules are supposed to protect. We suggest that such amendments and additions to the regulations should not be accepted, and also, that Article 11a should be entirely omitted.
