On Stress and Anxiety in a Changing Society
The Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR) is a multidisciplinary international organisation of researches dealing with the issues of stress, coping and anxiety. This year, the annual STAR Conference was held in Zagreb, from 6 to 8 July and was organised by the STAR, The Faculty of Philosophy of Zagreb and the Centre for Clinical Psychology from Zagreb.
There were professionals from more than 30 countries present. It provided a unique opportunity to share, learn and discuss recent theoretical and applied developments in the field of stress, coping and anxiety. The topic of this Conference was “Stress and Anxiety in a Changing Society”
One of the speakers at the Conference was Psy.D. Bruna Profaca of the Child Protection Centre of Zagreb. She presented the paper “Different Aspects of Anxiety Symptoms in Children Who Witness Domestic Violence” prepared with coauthors Sena Puhovski, psychologist and prof. Psy.D. Gordana Buljan Flander.
Our Centre also participated with the poster presentation “Predicting emotional difficulties among children based on compulsive Internet use and cyberbullying victimization” prepared by Sc.M. Tea Brezinščak, Sc.M. Ana Marija Španić and prof. Psy.D. Gordana Buljan Flander.
