Educational program for minors’ defenders in Croatian Bar Association

Educational program for minors’ defenders took place on Tuesday, November 22nd in the Croatian Bar Association. The accent was put on interdisciplinary knowledge acquisition; therefore various topics have been discussed by eminent experts, diversiform professions and work positions. Director of Child and Youth Protection Center of Zagreb, Assoc. Prof. Gordana Buljan Flander, Ph.D. has given a lecture “Adolescence and risk behavior” and interactive representation regarding forensic interviewing children. Attorney Mladen Klasić has presented the attorneys’ role in children’s rights realizing,  Prof. Davor Derenčinović, Ph.D., Faculty of Law, has discoursed about criminal etiology and minors, and  Prof. Dubravka Hrabar, Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Law, has expounded International conventions, guidelines and recommendations in child protection system. Juvenile judge Lana Peto Kujundžić has spoken about criminal justice children protection, as well as the perpetrators in age-groups of minors and younger adults.

In January and February the same educational program is provided for minors’ defenders in Osijek, Split and Rijeka, in order to improve protection of minors in state legal system.
