On cognitive behavioural therapy 28.09.2009, 09:17 'New perspectives in cognitive behavioural therapy' was the topic of
the 39th Annual Congress of the European Association for Behavioural
and Cognitive Therapy (EABCT) which was held in Dubrovnik, 16—19
September 2009. Rich scientific programme of the Congress covered
topics of psychopathology in adults and childhood, existing treatments
and techniques of their validity assessment, the administration of the
cognitive behavioural therapy techniques outside the field of
psychopathology, as well as the field of education and parenthood.
Education about Moaiku approach 28.09.2009, 09:14 Several professionals from the Center participated in two-day education
'Moaiku — Somatic Trauma Workshop', which was held in September 2009 in
London by Merete Holm Brantbjerg.

Stress at the end of the school year |

Stress is a normal part of children's everyday life, just like that of adults'. The end of the school year can be burdensome, cause pressure, anxiety, worry for the child. All these signs we notice, show that children are under stress. No matter whether they are in the third, fifth or eighth grade, children worry because they are being tested, because of the amount they have to learn, grades they get, parents' reactions, and may feel agitation, restlessness, anxiety and fear related to the school situation, more intensively than during the school year.

Victims of Bullying Are in Need of Adults' Help

We have
been coping with peer bullying for years, and yet, we seem to be
utterly surprised when public attention is caught with a case of
bullying, which is usual everyday life for many children. According to
research conducted in Croatia, every fourth child is exposed to some
form of peer bullying. Despite laws and protocols, we often react only
when severe psychological or physical abuse has already taken place.
